Originally from western Maryland, Melissa currently resides in central Florida.  Her art is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Florida Art (Deland) and the Museum of Arts & Sciences (Daytona Beach). Appearing in numerous domestic and international private collections, Melissa's work has been published in  Orlando arts Magazine, Arbus-North Florida's Arts & Business Magazine, HITS/winter show circuit,  and Picturing Florida-From the 1^st Coast to the Space Coast,  a book of 38 Florida Artists, edited by Dr. Karhren Arbitman-former curator of the Frick Museum.  Among her recent distinctions, Melissa's art has captured such awards as Best of Show (2008, Artists Workshop, Inc., New Smyrna Beach), First Place, and Achievement Award (2009& 2010 Art League of Daytona Beach).
